 Reserach Overview (科研简介) 

No expertise and a lot of curiosity!

Our group research interests focus on design and synthesis of bioinspired and biomimetic materials for nanomedicince, biomedical engineering, biocatalysis or bioorthogonal catalysis, and X-ray optogenetics applications. We have pulished around 90 high-impact papers, with citations near 7800 and an H-index of 46. 

目前主要从事生命分析化学及化学生物学相关的基础研究与应用,包括仿生人工细胞、生物正交催化/生物催化、纳米医药(针对糖尿病、神经退行性疾病、癌症等疾病)、X射线光遗传学等。近年来已在相关领域发表SCI论文90余篇,其中第一作者/通讯作者论文30余篇,包括:Nat. Nanotechnol. (2篇), Nat. Chem. Biol., Sci. China Life Sci., J. Am.  Questions (考生疑虑解答)

1、基本流程?

答:初级阶段邮件交流。如果双方意向比较大,会跟我们课题组的学生们先交流,了解彼此情况(会通过邮件提供学生联系方式)

2、招生基本要求(达不到要求可能不回复邮件)?

答:硕士生基本要求发自内心热爱学习,把学习当成一种习惯;博士生,硕士期间发表至少1-2篇独立撰写的英文论文。如果有容易情绪化(emo)、放大困难、拖延症比较严重、把老师树立为“假想敌”、跟老师交流存在障碍、跟组内同学相处困难等严重负面问题的同学,建议不要投简历。

3、思想准备?

答:学生的本职就是学习和拿学位(需要论文),老师的本职是教你如何学习和一起努力发论文。我们的立场是一致的。我们每个人不一定聪明,但是努力是我们每个人最基本能做到的;如果努力没用,为什么那么多有成就的人还在保持努力?现在比较卷,每个课题工作量比较大,许多杂志审稿周期也在变长,越早按部就班推进课题,越早达到毕业要求。

4文章作者如何安排?

答:上面陈老师第一作者的文章是其在博士和博士后期间发表工作,并非入职福大之后学生的工作。现在组内学生自己的工作,学生自己排第一作者,陈老师不会要第一作者。

5、是否会安排学生做实验室或科研以外的杂活?

答:陈老师注重学习,希望学生把精力集中在学习、科研和长技能等方面上。非课题组相关事务,不会麻烦学生去做。

6、会提供学习和科研上的指导吗?

答:陈老师能做好为人师表的本职工作:实验上遇到问题,会通过组会或平时讨论,帮助分析实验不理想的原因,提供相应的实验建议、或者寻找解决方法的思路、或者跟学生一起做实验,解决问题;此外,也会从文献阅读、解析文献、文章写作等方面提供指导;也会及时修改文章,尊重学生的每一个工作,不论发表在哪里,都会认真修改。

7、老师会催着要数据吗?

答:陈老师不会push。会跟学生一起制定好课题规划,以把课题做清楚、做明白为原则,按部就班推进课题进展,不论课题大小。

8、组内氛围如何?

答:陈老师要求组里一定要团结,大家相互尊重,反对恶意竞争。大家来自五湖四海,相聚一起是缘分,希望在陈组读书能给每个学生留下一段美好回忆。

9、额外要求有吗?

答:不能在实验室打游戏、看小说、刷视频。

10、是否会延期毕业?

答:陈老师坚决不会故意延期学生毕业,一切按照福大相关条例进行,只要达到学校毕业要求,保证让学生按时毕业;如果文章投稿周期比较长、啥事都等着老师替做、不努力还想混学位、找工作调整时间等原因,需要延期,不反对也不强迫。这个问题想清楚一点,即使真需要延毕也延毕真正优秀的(目前没有,^_^)。
